Great Japanese Italian fusion pasta …
Part of me doesn’t want to review this place because it’s such a hidden gem and I want it to stay hidden, but it’s too nice of a place to not tell everyone! It’s my favorite place to get Japanese Italian food. I haven’t had a pasta dish …
Good, interesting food options and friendly service.
We had a squid ink pasta that was delicious and a shishito peppers one that was almost inedible due to its spiciness (and I’m used to spicy food, as I am Mexican.
This little Japanese-style Italian restaurant is a real hole-in-the wall! The food is great and tastes authentic to the Italian food in Japan, and the atmosphere is perfect for a small cafe vibe.
A pretty good experience. This is an Asian-Italian fusion restaurant. I haven’t eaten other dishes but these dishes are light, creative, delicious. Kinda small proportion even for a small Asian girl like me. So, don’t be too shocked. …
I’ve enjoyed every dish that I’ve tried here and the staff were very kind every time
Great idea, Japanese Italian! I had the crab and scallop pasta. Sauce was creamy with lots of crab. Yum! Also had the shrimp ceviche. Shrimp, cucumber, tomato, and mint leaves in a great Southeast Asian style dressing. It’s a small place so you may have to wait at dinner times, but it’s worth it.
Very delicious and good service! Will visit again.
Japanese Italian that I am used to, and both my friend and I enjoyed lunch.
You want some really good food, you must make a visit here. Try the Doria (I think I spelled it right!). It will make you come back again and again! So dang good!
Nice and cool covered patio for dining. I called the server’s attention for serving me the wrong order and it was promptly replaced. Also gave us extra bread when I asked. The lone server did her job the best she can.
Authentic Japanese style Italian cuisine. Must try the Mont Blonc dessert!
Came here for lunch. For $14, you get daily soup, salad, a main dish (we ordered pasta), and a cup of coffee. Good Italian food. Owner and chef are Japanese LOL
Steak was awesome! I don’t usually like getting steak when I eat out at new places because I always feel like if I wanted good steak I can always grill it myself and it would be better… but this was pretty good and I would definitely …
The food was excellent. Honesty the best ceaser salad ive ever had. It’s also a nice small place.
Prosciutto pizza was a good appetizer for 3 people. Chicken katsu in curry was good.
Lives up to what it is, a Japanese – Italian fusion. Foods is well made and quality will not disappoint you.. Love coming here with my wife for a date night out, place has a jazzy vibe …
Everything was so yummy. Would definitely go back again. I went in for lunch and had a lunch set. it was just awesome.
I contest that some of the best pasta dishes in San Diego can be found at our small handful of Italian-Japanese restaurants. The “best known” place like this is Shin’s in La Jolla, but the best spot to actually dine at is definitely Bistro …
Love the Japanese-Italian fusion kind of dish!
I especially like the Unagi (eel) pizza.
The pasta is not bad too!
I came to eat dinner at 7pm on a Friday night. The atmosphere was quaint and relaxing.
The Unagi Pizza was surprisingly was our favorite dish. There wasn’t a lot of …
An old and small restaurant, but they make good meal. I had crab meat scallop spaghetti, and it was really good and fresh. Only one thing needs to improve: the waiter may can have a small smiling while he serves non-Japanese customers.
A unique dining place. Italian restaurant with a Japanese touch. I had the salmon roe pasta and it was great, corn soup is delicious too. They have lunch combo menu even on weekend which is nice. The combo includes a salad, a soup and a entree. Portion is generous. They also have a la carte menu.
This place is a gem. They are not offering any flashy dishes but simply good quality food with great value!
The place has a great vibe! The decoration is tasteful, simple and classic. The moment you walk in, you will smell coffee aroma and the scent of sweet cream. I love it.
Loved this Japanese Italian fusion! We had delicious food and the staff were super nice. We tried one of their pastas, pizzas, and appetizers and all of them were great.
great tasting selection, reasonable prices, and clean place. will definitely come back to try other dishes
New favorite in all of SD. We got the Uni spread (comes with 4 large pieces of bread), unagi pizza, fries, pumpkin soup, deep fried brie cheese balls. Best menu ever with actual new and innovative dishes and also some old authentic faves …

I have been here twice on two consecutive days. That should say everything , right? After the first visit I was so eager to try out more. The execution of the …
