Colapasta Restaurant reviews:
An excellent dinner of fresh gnocchi and fresh lasagna. The waitress (Ivette) was amazing, my son (5) must have a crush on her. The wait staff and the owner all seem to like what they do. Love this place and will be back again if we’re in the area.
Wow! We just had the best pasta I’ve ever had in Los Angeles. There were little pillows of agnolotti love, and half moon shaped ravioli stuffed with beets and covered in brown butter. My kids each had a bowl of magical casarecce pasta. …
The best pasta in Los Angeles! Maybe even the best pasta in the US? Colapasta masters the art of making fresh, traditional pasta with the correct ingredients.
The owner and his staff make you feel like family, as if they are welcoming you …
Tucked away on a quiet-tree-lined Santa Monica street, we were greeted by the tall, smiling and charming Francisco. Little did we know, he would be our server. Arriving just thirty minutes prior to closing, we surely thought we would be a …
Got the bavette squid ink and malloreddus with saffron. So delicious!! The wine pairing was great – cotes du rhone – and overall ambience on the patio was delightful. Server was very sweet and bubbly. Highly recommend for a reasonably priced handmade pasta and wine dinner.
Fantastic pasta, super great space and lovely waiters. Everyone was super friendly and all the food was clearly made by hand and with love. We got the gnocchi with ricotta, squid ink crab pasta and beet ravioli. I would recommend theM all.
Bib gourmand and for good reason. The ingredients are fresh and the pastas are perfectly cooked, al dente. Gramigna Bolognese / Emilia Gramigna Pasta with Traditional Beef Ragù had a classic tomato beef taste with a large portion size. …
I mean…there’s really no need for an explanation. Simply the best Italian food you will ever have. Just do yourself a favor and come eat here. You will 100% leave beyond satisfied and wowed.
I think the charm of this restaurant is the friendly mom & pop’s style service, along with it’s quiet location & minimal wait in a bustling area like Santa Monica. The food is very reasonably priced…$17 for the squid ink pasta w/ crab vs …
Good pastas. The service was really good and attentive. Great explanations of each dish I inquired about.
I have to rave about how good this pasta is. I’ve been to Rome, Florence, Milan, and Venice. I’ve been to Michelin star Italian food. But I can’t say there was any pasta there that spoke to me as much as the dishes pictures here. The …
Came here on a Friday for lunch. Their pasta is phenomenal and made in house. We ordered the squid ink bavetta, fusilli pasta with burrata, and shared a beet ravioli as a pseudo-desert. The flavor was relatively light so that you can savor …
We got the with Colonne di Pompeii with Burrata (closer) & the Squid Ink Bavette (further). …
I am obsessed with this place! All of the food is great (with locally sourced ingredients and organic). The service is always friendly and so on top of it I cannot recommend this place enough. I normally go for brunch/lunch and find that it is a great time.
We always enjoy our meals here. We love the outdoor patio dining to enjoy the great Santa Monica weather. Service is always efficient and very courteous, and especially helpful describing the different pastas. We really enjoyed the fresh pasta and the flavors of the sauces. A great place to dine in Santa Monica!
My favorite restaurant on the west side. Hands down the best Italian I’ve had in a while. The pasta is always perfect and the sauces are exquisite. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We love the high quality handmade pastas! Bianca and Tyrone make us feel so welcome. Ate the pastas too fast to take photos but here’s a pic of our son with Tyrone! This place is a hidden gem in plain sight.
Memorable experience, fantastic food, fresh, and amazing service. Our servant was super nice.
Very satisfied with the quality of the pasta dishes we had: good taste and good sizes! You can defenitely tell the cook know how to prepare well made Italian pasta dishes!
Went here last night with my fiancée. They are still in the beta testing stage (service is a little slow, but that will improve once they hire more than one person to be the host and waiter combined), but the food itself is definitely ready …
The food is actually decent but this place could use a few more helpers. We have in 3 people in our group and came on Thursday for lunch. There’s only one server/waiter, I assume that’s the owners son, handling all the business in the …
