Oriel Chinatown reviews:
YEEEEESSSSSSS!!! Romantic ambience, food surprisingly very filling. Take your boo here for a special occasion (or not if you’re just trying to have a magical night and rip a hole in your boyfriend/husband’s wallet!!!). 😉 The French onion soup, steak tartare and escargot were to die for.
A hidden gem. Beautiful food and great vibes.
Very interesting French bistro dinner in Chinatown.
Bone marrow, Duck pate, Beef tartare, and Escargots.
Should have order the dish one by one instead of all at once, because they all …
Bouillabaisse Marseillaise – This was ok. One of the mussels had what I think was sand inside. This dish comes with bread a well but some seemed stale but maybe it was toasted to be more like a crouton? I’m not sure.
Excellent wine selection, great happy hour specials (try the tuna + rosé they’re perfect for one another!) ☼ super cute outdoor patio or indoor seated area thanks to their orange-cellophane-coated windows of the Florida room/entry way of their space ♡ perfect for an after-work friend date!
Outstanding wine & staff. Not a negative thing to say… order everything!
A treasure on the outskirts of downtown. I almost don’t want to leave a review for fear the secret will get out!! This place has a lovely atmosphere, and is always playing the right music. The food is some of the best French plates in LA. …
Absolutely love this French restaurant, escargot, steak tartare and French onion soup are to die for
Lot’s of great wines to try and great menu selections. We enjoyed a full dinner but it would be a great place to also stop in for a quick bite.
Love the pink vibes and mood here- amazing french food and great wine list
Amazing food, great atmosphere. Incredible wine selection. Will definitely be back
Had a lovely glass of wine with my girlfriend before we sat down for our meal. The bar tender happily let us taste two wines before we decided what we wanted. The food is delicious is a healthy selection of amazing dishes (if you’re into artichokes, go for that. IT’S AMAZING!)
Only had an appertivo while waiting for a friend. But would definitely come back to try the menu.
Brunch at Oriel? Yes please!
I had the best smoked trout I’ve ever tasted – subtle, fresh, and perfectly paired with radishes. Or go for a classic cafe au lait and croissant. The vibe is …
Oriel is a sweet treat in Chinatown. A super charming Wine bar with little portions of classic French food so exquisite it’s dazzling. A brilliant and reasonable selection of wines. I always feel at peace here even when it’s busy.
Really enjoyed it . Service was good we went right before the dinner rush. We were able to try a lot of stuff family style the wine was excellent the food was good but I didn’t think it was as good as Union and I wouldn’t go there over it but it’s a great option for a place in Chinatown. Would definitely go back
Unexpectedly, my husband showed up for Valentine’s Day. We rushed to Oriel and lucky to find a cozy corner table, we began a romantically delectable dinner with cheerful service. Loved spending time where the food, the champagne, the service and overall quality was terrific.
Every time go, I get the same thing, and every time I am pleased – either green beans or asparagus, potato gratin, and the crazy-delicious fish, fried in butter with caper and resting on creamy mashed potatoes. And by the way, this meal feeds 2 people easily.
Great and very friendly service. The Parisian gnocchi and the Comté foam Asparagus were fabulous! Already thinking of and savoring my next visit 😊 …
Nice ambiance, great service and happy hour goes until 7pm. Food is rich in flavor and delicate flavors. They use alot of butter and salt so it fils you up!
Having a loft on the corner of where this restaurant is located I said what a French restaurant in Chinatown they must be crazy never going to make it boy did they prove me wrong I kept hearing about the food I kept reading reviews and I …
